Nugget of February 14

Fluorescent light

Curl up in a ball and

Scream at the bodies that

Walk unblinkingly past and D

own the street and

Out of your line of life

In and out.

Windows flung open

There is the sky

But where is the air?

All I can breath is the metal

Of the bridges and the

Subways and the

Wrought iron and the

Sky scrapers.

Nobody understands each other.

Build a mask of appearance

Morph into the creature that

The world saw bloom.

Hide, hide from yourself.

People are afraid to be alone with their entity.

Everyone is wearing a mask made of skin

Fabricated by their fear to understand the

Deeply seeded sprigs of

love

and lust

and aversion.

We are scared we will find

Savages,

Beasts

In our bodies wrapped in flesh.

Beautiful body will some day

Return to

Earth.

One day will grow into a tree.

DON'T YOU SEE HOW TRANSIENT THIS IS?

Why do you take this seriously?

You are what you think:

An invention of the

MIND IS ALL THERE IS.
